Become a Coach or Leader

What’s the Difference Between a Coach and a Leader?

While both coaches and leaders help grow the dog adventure community, they play different roles.

Leaders Build Community

Leaders organize free local meetups that bring people and dogs together. They help create welcoming environments where participants can explore, connect, and enjoy outdoor adventures with others.

As a leader, you might:

  • Organize weekly or monthly group walks, hikes, or runs

  • Welcome new participants and help them feel comfortable

  • Coordinate meetup locations and schedules

  • Encourage a positive, supportive community

  • Connect local dog lovers through shared adventures

No formal teaching experience is required—just a passion for helping people and dogs get outside together.

Coaches Teach & Inspire

Coaches take it a step further by providing instruction, guidance, and structured learning experiences. Whether you're teaching Intro to Canicross, leading a yoga class, coaching bikejoring, or offering private lessons, coaches help participants develop skills, build confidence, and safely enjoy new activities.

As a coach, you can:

  • Teach CaniVenture classes or your own original programs

  • Offer private coaching or group instruction

  • Lead workshops, clinics, and special events

  • Set your own schedule, pricing, and services

  • Build your own coaching business using the CaniVenture platform

Many coaches are also leaders, hosting free community meetups while offering optional paid classes for those who want to continue learning. Whether you choose to become a leader, a coach, or both, you'll play an important role in helping more people discover the joy of adventuring with their dogs. it.

Join the CaniVenture Coaching and Leader Network

CaniVenture is building a network of coaches and leaders who are passionate about adventures with dogs and helping others get started, build skills, and grow.

Whether your background is in dog-powered sports, yoga or other outdoor activities, this is an opportunity to share your knowledge, connect with new clients, and be part of something that’s working to grow and unify these sports.

Our goal is simple: to give experienced individuals a platform to support others and help expand dog adventures in their local communities.

Run Your Own Classes & Coaching

As a CaniVenture coach, your coaching and classes are your own.

You have the flexibility to:

  • Offer one-on-one coaching or group classes

  • Run in-person, virtual, or pre-recorded sessions

  • Set your own schedule, structure, and pricing

  • Design your own classes, programs, or events

We’ll provide optional templates and guidance to help you get started, but you’re not limited to them. If you have an idea for something new, we’re excited to support it and help you grow it. You can even start an official Cani-Venture Chapter and we’ll help support your growth.
