Join CaniVenture for a full-day fall adventure at beautiful Devil’s Lake State Park in Wisconsin!
CaniVenture is all about creating more adventures for people and dogs — but you don’t need to have a dog of your own to join us. Bring your dog, come with a friend, or simply come for the adventure and enjoy a day with a dog-loving outdoor community.
This isn’t just a group hike. We’re planning the experience so you can show up and enjoy the adventure without having to figure out the route, activities or details yourself.
We’ll explore Devil’s Lake’s famous quartzite bluffs, rocky trails and scenic overlooks on a planned group route, with plenty to discover along the way. Your CaniVenture Adventure Card will take you through a photo scavenger hunt, Devil’s Lake trivia and fun discoveries throughout the day.
At the top, we’ll slow things down for an included scenic lunch while taking in the views. Professional photographer Mandi K. Photography will join us to capture candid moments of our adventurers and dogs throughout the day, and we’ll finish with a professional group photo to remember the experience.
Those who prefer a beginner-friendly route will be led around the lake for a leisurely stroll.
Every participant will also receive a limited Devil’s Lake 2026 keepsake and a stamp for their CaniVenture Adventure Passport.

While everyone relaxes and enjoys lunch at the overlook, Mandi K. Photography will offer individual professional scenic portraits. Bring your dog into the shot, grab one with a friend, or get a great adventure photo of yourself against the Devil’s Lake backdrop.
$10 per scenic portrait, purchased directly from Mandi K. Photography.
After making our way back down, those who want to stay a little longer can unwind with Paws & Presence, a guided outdoor yoga, stretching and mindfulness experience with Ash.
It’s a chance to stretch tired muscles, slow down after the hike and enjoy a quieter moment outdoors with your dog — or simply on your own.
$10 per person. Minimum 7 participants required.
Dogs are at the heart of CaniVenture, but you don’t need to own one to adventure with us.
Participants without dogs will take part in the same adventure, scavenger hunt, lunch, photography and group experience. We do not formally pair participants with privately owned dogs, but participants will be able to connect through the CaniVenture community to see if someone is in need of having their dog walked on the trail.
Transportation and Wisconsin State Park vehicle admission are not included. Participants will be able to connect through the CaniVenture community to coordinate carpools if desired.
Devil’s Lake is a challenging adventure hike, not a casual walk. Our route will include steep climbs and descents and rocky, uneven and potentially narrow terrain.
You should be physically comfortable completing a challenging hike. Dogs joining the adventure should be healthy and physically capable of completing the route and comfortable hiking around other dogs while maintaining appropriate space.
Dogs must remain leashed during the adventure, and dog-to-dog greetings are not permitted before, during or after the group activity. Participants that choose to allow their dogs to greet people or other dogs do so at their own risk.
PLEASE NOTE: A shipping charge will appear at checkout. Nothing will be shipped for this adventure. Because of the way our registration system is currently set up, this charge is being used as the CaniVenture platform fee that supports registration, administration, and the systems behind CaniVenture experiences.
