Keeping MCCX Free Takes A Community
McHenry County Canicross & Dog Sports (MCCX) is a welcoming local community for people who want to get outside, get active, and adventure with their dogs.
Our regular Wednesday evening and Saturday morning meetups are free, and we want to keep them that way.
But keeping MCCX free for participants doesn't mean it's free to operate.
As our community grows, we need funding for liability insurance, loaner canicross gear, safety equipment, supplies, community outreach, leader resources, and the other behind-the-scenes costs that allow us to offer organized activities responsibly.
Sponsorships ensure that anyone can participate regardless of whether they can afford a membership fee.

As MCCX grows, appropriate liability insurance is essential to protecting the organization, our activities, and the future of the community we're building. Insurance for dog-powered recreational activities can be difficult and expensive to obtain, and sponsorship support can make a meaningful difference in our ability to secure and maintain appropriate coverage.
